Do the things you want to do, at home or in the community.
What is 1:1 support?
1:1 support, also known as support work or individualised services, is a flexible service. A community support worker will help you one-on-one to do whatever you need or like to do — at home, in the community, or a mix of both.
Whether it is cooking, shopping, going to the beach, travelling, watching a movie, cleaning, assistance with self care — it is all tailored to your goals!
We also offer:
- 2:1 support: if you need two support workers
- 1:2 and 1:3 group supports: if you want to do something with a group of friends, you can share the same support worker. This is particularly great if you have common interests with friends, such as the same football team or taste in music.
We match you with support workers based on your needs, interests and personalities, to create the best support experience. It’s so important you both enjoy each other’s company!
Where do we provide 1:1 support?
We provide one-to-one support across metro Melbourne, in the north, west and south-east.
How can we support people through 1:1 support?
We are completely flexible — we can make this work for you, no matter what your goals are! Some common uses of one-to-one NDIS support are:
- personal care: help with things like showering and dressing
- household tasks: from meal prep to cleaning to decluttering
- community access: support to get along to social events, access your hobbies or go shopping
- travel training: help to use public transport and practice getting around your area
- building life skills: learning to use technology, cooking, budgeting, shopping, practicing your new skills
- social skills: support to get out and see your friends, or make new friends
- fun and adventure: going to theme parks, music festivals, discos, foodie events or sports events — the world is your oyster!
