Meet Eva, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Eva studied a Masters of Social Work at University of Melbourne and initially started at Accord as a Support Coordinator.

She made the transition to Behaviour Support Practitioner because she wanted to provide a culturally and consumer sensitive approach when working clients and their family members, which is informed by her lived experience as a caregiver to her brother. She is passionate about partnering with clients and families to improve their quality of life, and decreasing barriers of accessibility to services.

Eva also delivers workshops in Cantonese and Mandarin through Positive Partnerships for carers with autistic children to help them understand their child’s needs. In addition to being involved with a range of community development projects in Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne.

Eva has an interest in supporting clients from multicultural backgrounds with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, down syndrome and mental health diagnosis.
